Tesla has a lot to worry about with questions about the range of its electric Model S, so it logs the telemetry data for every press drive. Ferrari has cleverer way of testing how media drives go.
As you know, Tesla and the New York Times are fighting it out over a NYT review of the Model S, where a Times unsuccessfully attempted to drive from Washington DC to Boston along Tesla's highway lined with powerdicks.
The NYT reporter claims the car failed him, Tesla contends that the NYT reporter misdrove the car, and they may well both be wrong at the same time.
Following the row between Tesla and the New York Times, Ferrari put out this tweet.
We applaud Ferrari here, but then Ferrari doesn't have to dispute the results of the tests because they rig them, which is a lesson Tesla needs to learn.
