Staff Writer at Jalopnik. Sucker for big adventurous motorcycles and tiny sporty cars. It doesn't make much sense to her, either.

I’m not responding to the comments I’m referring to but wtf. how are the first two comments on a story about a mass shooting:
1. a shitty joke about gender identity by some mouth breathing troglodyte
2. a sarcastic comment about public transport, as if this could be blamed on subways instead of a gun proliferation no Read more

Having been in the market for a reasonably priced Miata in the Northeast for the past few months (year?), I saw that car in the past week or so. Great find! I want something that leans a bit more street, so passed on it, but getting a track ready car always makes far more financial sense then trying to build one. Read more

Is SAAB 900 SPG a dream car? For me it’s close. I’d part with $10k to $12K of my hard earned bank to own this 900. $57k is Rainman $400 Snicker pricing IMHO. I know I’m a frugal bastard, but What the Heck!  Read more

I “get” a lot of these because the collector market is just flush with cash at the moment, but that truck doesn’t make a damned bit of sense. It is just an old truck. Not a classic truck, just old. I see them in condition like that every day. Why in the world would someone pay that kind of money for that truck? Read more

The level of insanity here, especially the Nissan and Corvette is mind boggling. PT Barnum is laughing somewhere. Read more

I will defend “Drive” to the death. It’s not a “car movie” nor did I think it was before I saw it for the first time. I’m aware that one of the trailers was/is misleading and some moviegoers were pissed that it wasn’t an F&F movie. Boo hoo. Trailers have done it before and will do again. Same people that complain Read more

Definitely agree about Bullitt. 11 minute car chase that is cool but about six minutes too long, and the rest of that movie is a total snoozefest. Steve McQueen’s hotness can only carry it just so far. Read more

It is very obvious that the car is a work in progress. It was on a lift early in the movies. So that accounts for the lack of rear bumper/bodywork, and other things. His motorbikes are his main transportation. Read more

Dear God, yes. Somebody put a LOT of freaking effort into the car casting for this movie. Read more

Not only does this Batmobile fucking RULE, it was extremely refreshing to see a big-ticket action movie that wasn’t bought for advertising by any of the big car companies. Read more

The best way to avoid this kind of traffic is to support a locally-owned chicken place that serves tastier food, is likely owned by a member of your local area, and doesn’t publicly, proudly discriminate against the LGBTQ community. Read more
