right. most factory turbo engines are tuned for midrange, which means they all run out of steam above 6k or so. (also, it’s expensive to build an engine that can rev to 8 or 9, hence the tuning for midrange torque, hence the low redlines) Read more
yeah, it’s a relatively low redline for a small-displacement 4-cylinder. with peak torque hitting so low on the tach, it’s clear Honda tuned this thing for midrange, so there probably wasn’t much point in making it rev past 7. Read more
