My iMac died earlier this year. It would cost to much to fix it and I can’t get credit for a trade in due to how old it is. But still, it ran for 8 years without any issues, survived moves and was a good machine. Someday I’ll get another one. Read more

Typing this message on my Late 2009 iMac, love this computer it has been great except for the super drive dying NBD. FWIW I would just wipe it then sell on Craigslist for parts. Broken iMacs can still pull in ~$100+ around here. I buy broken computers, fix, and resell, but only touch macs when it’s a friend in need. The values hold up too well, and there’s not as large of a margin in it. Read more
