Where's Troy McClure when you need him? When we were wee, we were obsessed with the plans for a DIY hovercraft in the back of Boys' Life and Popular Mechanics. Remember those? They could "carry up to 200 lbs." and you could build it out of a vacuum cleaner. We finally broke down and ordered. Long story short, the hovercraft plans were more disappointing than our sea monkeys. Not that we ever built it, but we quickly realized how long of an extenssion cord we'd need to make it down to the mall. Well, no more!
