Ford Used The Peanuts To Sell Falcons

Peanuts was the most popular comic strip ever and Ford thought the '61 Ford Falcon could benefit from that success. So here's Linus, Pig Pen and Snoopy selling "the world's most successful new car".

The '61 Ford Falcon could sit six, return 30 mpg or go fast with a "170 Special." You know, the same straight-six with a bigger stroke. At this point, you might want to "admire Ford's generosity."

Apparently, the Ford's '61 compact wonder also came with paint that did not need waxing, ever.

Are you convinced?
