There was a deeply strange part of this country’s automotive history when the world was separated into a monolithic “IMPORTS” and a monolithic “DOMESTICS.” At one point, everyone’s all-time favorite car television program, Motorweek, decided to compare all the “IMPORT” convertibles. The TVR’s roof leaked.
John Davis didn’t specifically mention why the TVR’s hazard lights were left sadly blinking away, but I imagine it’s because it broke down right there, in the middle of the field.
Because it was a list of IMPORT convertibles, the TVR was also compared to offerings from Mercedes, Porsche, Alfa Romeo, and Toyota.
The main Toyota featured is a Celica, but truly, there is no car I desire more than this 4Runner.
